As an undergraduate at the University of California, Santa Cruz, I've worked with 7th and 8th-graders for the past 3 years at a local middle school. I have mostly worked with a low income, Spanish speaking community. I am bilingual, and I am able to work with any student up to the 9th-grade. I will be working with high school students next September, but I am now here in Los Angeles in search for a summer job. I have worked in class as a math and English tutor, as well as outside of class with groups of students to help them with their homework. I also helped them prepare to go to college by advising them about the courses they need to take in high school to be eligible to go to college.
